There are two parts in this paper:Firstly, a set of single Doppler velocity models are presented for typical ambient windfields that include those of being uniform horizontally, macroscale convergence and divergence, which overlap warm and cold advection. Which are marked by different signatures in the single Doppler velocity field. The models proposed can help users identify useful information from the Dopple velocity patterns.Secondly, based on the datd collected with the aid of Doppler weather radar, second part has done the systematic analysis of successive rain gush from June 1 to June 3 and from June 24 to June 27 in 2000 in Anhui Province. The findings show that there exists overlap between macroscale convergence and warm advection if the degree of clock-wise turn dosen' t keep constant on both sides of zero Doppler velocity contour about the near range of the observational site. The overlap produces vertical vapor transport and upward convergence movement favorable for formation and continuation of rain gush. When the structure keeps, the preciptation dosen't stop. Meantime, continuation of low tropospheric jet produces plentiful vapor for formation and continuation of rain gush.
