Along with economy developing fast, time competition become more and more strong. Spatial-distance is being permuted by time-distance gradually. So, the research on urban time structure will have important academic and practical value.As a corresponding conception of spatial structure, the main studies on urban time structure are elements, constructing principles, expressing forms and evaluation. Based on the study of the fore going's, this thesis regards time-cell, time-center and time-distance as the basic elements of urban time structure. Secondly, carry out three constructing principles--"spatial scale" maps "time distance", maintain basic spatial structures, extrude main time structures. Thirdly, summarize four expressing forms of urban time structure of which isotime curve, isotime circle, time contour and time network. Finally, take out urban population-time contour to evaluate urban time structure.This thesis take Shenzhen special Zone for a case study, and it is divided into 165 time-cells firstly. Charted with them, and time-cells are clustering analyzed as well. Secondly, combining practical survey method and time-resistance mathematic model, the author obtained average time distance from every time-cell to fictitious time center, isotime curve figure (by Arc view 3D analyze) and temporal shape. Thirdly, by contrasting temporal and spatial shape, conclusions are drawn which the time-space structure in Shenzhen special Zone have two combinations-time and space location far away from city center with better time position and time and space location near city center with bad time position. Finally, an evaluation about city population-time distributing and time-cell satisfying degree is given to Shenzhen special Zone.
