Taxonomic Study Of Chionaspidini (Homoptera: Diaspidae: Diaspidinae)from China Wang PeimingDepartment of Plant Protection Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture & ForestryThis paper is a taxonomic study on Chionaspidini from China. It includes the following parts: resume, materials and methods, taxonomy and discussion.Firstly, the history of the taxonomy of Diaspididae is reviewed in both abroad and China, importance and taxonomic characters are reviewed and outlined. The sexual dimorphism of the armied scales is evaluated.Secondly, in the taxonomy part, 1 tribes and 2 subtribes, 8 genera and 87 species from China have been identified and descrided, of which 3 species are new to science and 2 new combinations. The keys are given to all genera and species concerned. Finally, some problems in Chionaspidini are discussed. At the end of the paper, references are attached.The new taxa to Chinese faura in this paper are listed as follows:New species: Pinnaspis pseudotuberculatus, sp. n.;Duplachionaspis yunnanensis, sp. n.;Unaspis jasminis, sp. n.New combinations: Duplachionaspis jambosicola(Tang),Comb. n. ;Chionaspis fujicola(Kuwana),Comb. n.。All the type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum, Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture & Forestry, Yangling, Shaanxi, China.
