The Fractal Brown Motion is an important content of the fractal geometry. Using the FBM methods, we can develop many three-dimention geometrical models with fractal characteristics.In this paper, we make research on mid-point displacement algorithm which is used to generate fractal Brown motion and present a synthetical surface generation algorithm which can generate mountain terrain model of predetermined shape. The algorithm combines MPD algorithm with restraining surface to assure the effect of partical character of FBM surface and predetermined shape. At last, a new method named smoothness disposition is used to get rid of apex and crack of synthetical surface as possible.Because of data format in OpenGL format environment that must be converted into with digital model, the meshing algorithm which disperses scattered data points to creat DEM data format is used. With this algorithm, each height value can be reckoned out by means of scattered data that are dispersed.
