Innovation is the soul and goal of colleging. Enforcing the training of the student'sinnovation ability has become one of the most important tasks of college and university'seducation. As the cradle of the people's teachers, normal college and university are facingwith and serving the basic education, and should have the students educated all-sided.Physics is an experiment subject, and its innovation achievements come from theexperiment and have to be proved by experiment. So physics experiment teaching becomesone of the most important steps of the trainings of the student's innovation ability. As animportant part of the general physics experiment (mechanics experiment, calorificexperiment, optics experiment, and electromagnetic experiment ), electromagneticexperiment is very important in normal college and university. It has the unreplaceableaction in training the student's basic experiment skills, world views and science views. The thesis explored and practiced the electromagnetic experiment teaching throughliterature,consulting and experiments. The thesis firstly introduces the physics experiment'sstatuses and effects in physics progressing and physics instruction. In the second part, thethesis generalizes the conditions of the general physics experiment and the designexperiment in normal colleges and universities. In the last part, the thesis puts forward thereform of experiment instruction from the student's psychology traits and theelectromagnetic experiment instruction conditions, and some design experiments are givenin the part too. And the reform should be focused on the curriculum and system of theexperiment, practicing different-level instruction; enforcing the communications andcooperation; reforming the exam system; and open the experiment labs and so on. Throughexperiment teaching in person, consulting the grade 2002 and 2003 students, and theexperiment papers, I feel that the reform has attained good achievements. There are someproblems in the reform at the same time. For example, the workload increases greatly, theteacher's tasks become heavy, and some student's requirements can't meet and so on. Theseproblems need to be shoveled more.
