Changes In Distribution Of Five Biotinylated-lectin Receptors During Gametogenesis Of Trilophidia Annulata Thunberg

Insects possess the greatest quantities and species in animals world, which bases on their powerful reproduction capacity. So it is very important to study the gametogenesis of insects in pests-preventing and beneficial insects-using. Now many investigations show lectin-receptors distribution in the plasma membrane have a remarkable change during gametogenesis, which relate to fertilization. In this study, distribution changes of 5 kinds of lectin (RCA, PNA, WGA, UEA-I and SBA) receptor in gamete were investigated by using immunocytochemistry techniques during gametogenesis of the Trilophidia annulata (Thunberg), oogenesis and the microstructure of spermatheca were observed by using of the Hematoxylin-Eosin dying method.Oogenesis of Trilophidia anaulata could be divided into 3 phases which include 8 stages according to the morphological variation of oocyte, nucleus and follicle cell, and nutrition synthesis and accumulation inside the cells. Oocyte differentiation touches, in which oocyte located in germarium and began initial meiosis. The phase 2 as period of time of the oocyte nutrition accumulation includs the stage of 2 and 3, in which oocyte moved from germarium into vitellarium, augmented and follicle cell appeared. The phase 3 as the vitellogenesis period includs the stage of 5 to 8, in which oocyte augmented greatly and turned into ovum, and follicle cell secreted eggshell.The spermatheca of insects stores and releases sperms after mating. By using the Hematoxylin-Eosin dying method and light microscope, from inner to outer, the spermatheca of Trilophidia annulata Thunberg consists of inner membrane, epithelial layer ,basal membrane, muscle layer and peritoneal membrane. There are three kinds of cells: secretory cells, pyramidal cells and columnar cells, which form the epithelial layer. In the muscle layer, circular and longitudinal muscles, fat cell and connective tissue may be included. During the course of mating, muscle layer makes a difference on releasing of sperms under the control of nerves.Lectin receptors existing many kinds of cell the plasma membrane play an important role in recognition, growth, proliferation and decrepitude of cell.
