| In recent years, as a new applying field of surveying technology, Industrial measuring system has caught much attention for its high precision, real-time measurement. remote operation and flexibility. And it has been a new research topic that taking place of expensive imported equipment and building homemade industrial measuring system with excellent performance and lower price. Taking general precise instrument as angle sensors, and using Visual Basic computer language as tools to design software, the paper is just to make practice research about building "industrial measuring system of building blocks type"(BBT_IMS). In order to settle the difficulty of direct orientation because sensors have no target for collimating reciprocally, the theory and methods of orientation measurement, which are suit for BBTEVIS, are deeply studied. Spatial resection measurement and calculation model based on flexible coordinates system are raised. And with their application, orientation difficulty is resolved successfully. According to its character of having no special instrument and consistent data format, methods of taking useful message from sensors' memory are studied in the paper. And taking TM5100A type electronic theodolite and Elta C 20A type total station for example, a program about on-line communication between computer and sensors is explored successfully, which can receive and store measuring data by use of access database. The paper also discusses data processing methods according to new orientation model. Using inner mathematic function of Visual Basic and DAO database operation technology, all kinds of data processing program are designed, which can store results in form of datasheet and document. As a summary, software of BBTIMS is explored and basic functions of industrial measurement are realized.
