Zhelin Bay is a famous estuary for large-scale mariculture in the eastern Guangdong, China. With constantly increasing in fishery culture and nutrient input to the estuaries within decades, the ecological environment has been significantly changed, resulting in harmful algal blooms hitting this area "frequently damage to the ecosystem. Therefore, it is necessary to find out the source and distribution rules of some important elements and assess the marine environment impact. However, the traditional way cannot satisfy the practice requirement with slowly efficiency, difficult to design graph, data and graph discretely and so on. This paper studied ecology based on the GIS technology, built a ecological information database of Zhelin Bay, analyzed ecological information with spatial analysis technology of GIS, and realized the marine environment impact assessment, which supply the theoretic bases and optimizing decision of the continual development of ecological environment and marine ecological protection for mariculture zone in the eastern Guangdong.
