With the growing of the social and economic informationization course, As the pluse of social and economic development, macroscopical economic statistics data act a important role in the management and decision-making of the governments and enterprises. The research of web economic thematic GIS whose intention is organizing, disposing, managing and publishing these economic data is becoming a promising trend. Based on the understanding and grasping the foundational principles and the realizing methods of WebGIS, as well as the releasing mechanism of the spatial data via the ArcIMS, This paper analyses with the in-depth research on the some key problems when dealing with the construction of DongMeng economic GIS. Special emphases have been placed on the organization and management of spatial data and the property data, as well as on the problem of generating and publishing thematic maps dynamically, the paper also puts forward its owe novel opinions and the corresponding solvent. To sum up, they display mainly from following aspects:1. Aiming at the problem of organizing and the managing of spatial data and multi-field property data with high efficiency, this paper put forward that, at first, the multi-field property data would be organized according to themes, and then be divided into a few tables with relative less-field, in turn, the spatial data and the multi-field property data are stored respectively, which in turn are joined via the "jointable" in order to realize processing them unitly.2. About the problem to generate and publish dynamically thematic classifying maps in the ArcIMS HTML Viewer, the paper puts forward the following processing stream. Firstly, by sending an ArcXML request creating by JavaScript, we obtain the value directing the classifying operation. In turn, based on the classifying methods and the classifying number which have been submitted real time, we classify the spatial features by assigning different colors according to different sorts. Finally, send again an ArcXML request to the server so as to output the classifying maps, in this way, we realize to generate and publish the classifying thematic maps dynamically.3. In the ArcIMS HTML Viewer, the paper generates an ArcXML request by creating a JavaScript function on the client so that the polygon features are rendered with the symbol "ChartSybol" and the chart-values are rendered with the fields submitted dynamically, in turn, sends the request to the server side to deal with the request so as to realize the generating and publishing thematic statistical map dynamically.4. Considering the problem of generating and publishing chart map dynamically in the ArcIMS HTML Viewer, the paper puts forward the way, generating a JavaBean which creates a chart map, in turn, generating an application JSP program on theserver side to publish the chart created by the JavaBean on the client side.5. In order to realize to generate and publish thematic statistical map dynamically in the ArcIMS Java Viewer, the paper generates a JavaServlet on the server side, which creates an AXL file setting thematic statistical map, in turn , cites the Java Viewer Objects IMSMap via the hidden frame, by adopting the JavaScript function, sends the AXL file to the server to process. Finally, transmits the response to the client side to process by IMSMap. So that thematic statistical map can be shown in the browser.
