Design And Implementation Of People's Air-defense Engineering WebGIS Based On ArcIMS

The people's air-defense engineering is an important establishment related to the security of nation, so as to the people's life and property etc. So, it is significant to reinforce and enhance the management and research on the people's air-defense engineering. After analyzing the actuality and application of the people's air-defense engineering, I designed the application of the people's air-defense engineering WebGIS based on ArcIMS.Nowadays, WebGIS is an important trend of GIS's development. It is a beneficial explore and attempt that WebGIS is imported in the management and application of the people's air-defense engineering. The application of the people's air-defense engineering WebGIS based on ArcIMS which is used widely, takes the ArcIMS as a platform and uses technique such as the Javascript, ASP.NET and database to actualize the visual management and in-depth application analysis.The paper's main research content as follows:1. After analyzing and comparing WebGIS software which are often used in market, I adopt ArcIMS of ESRI Corporation as the developimg platform of the people's air-defense engineering WebGIS.2. Analyzes the system structure of ArcIMS, the main process of using ArcIMS to carry out map release, and the problem that is browser choosing in the process of map release. It also introduces ArcSDE which takes the engine as spatial database. It is an emphases research that how to optimize the performance of ArcIMS.3. Using the ASP.NET and the database technique, the function of the peoples's air-defense engineering such as: inputting and modifiying information of the people's air-defense engineering is come true. It introduces the ArcXML's character and syntax because that it is important in ArcIMS. Combined with the characteristic of multisource data of ArcIMS, it also actualizes the analysis of thematic map of different effect. After carrys through the buffer analysis of import target, it calculates the evacuated population in buffer.4. Based on above research, the application system of the people's air-defense engineering WebGIS based on ArcIMS is designed and implemented .Besides, relevant codes and some instances are presented. The next step research direction of this paper is put forward after the research content of this paper is summarized in the round.
