With the seismic, logging well and drilling well data obtained from Dongpu Depression ,Liuzhuang area, this paper analysed oil/gas distribution law and the controlling factors ofreservoir formation by means of stratigraphy, structure ,reservoir ,producing reservoir etc.this paper also evaluated the new traps and estimated the potential of oil/gas resources, whichprovided bases for the exploration and development of LiuZhuang area .This study has made the following achievements:1. LiuZhuang area is found to have two clear structure features. :North Langzhongji is afaulted anticline controlled by Liangzhuang fault and South Liuhai is on the whole a faultedanticline attached to the downfalling block of the Huange fault. There is a transfer zonetrending NW-SE along L18-L36-q57 well between these two structures, which dividesLiuzhuang area into east and west tectonic modes .2. The early ES2 Member in Liuzhuang area is verified to be dominated by river-overbank lake facies. By tracing the single sand layer in the top of 2 sand groups in early ES2reservoir and the electric characters, the layout of ths layer is drawn and a sedimentationmode is established for the early ES2 reservoir in the area.3. The study has clarified the controlling factors of oil/gas concentration and oil/gasdistribution law and thus set up the oil/gas reservoir formation mode of the complex faultedblock group in Liuzhuang area. The mode exhibits that the area contains the oil/gas reservoirof many petroliferous horizons, numerous fault blocks and more oil –water systems, withoil/gas concentration in the high place, which is controlled by the tectonic settings. While theoil is distributed in the shape of toothbrush along faults. It is also revealed that the reservoirdetermine the degree of oil/gas enrichment .4. The paper evaluated six favorable traps, covering an area 12.2km2, with forecasted oilreserves 320×104t,and gas reserves 8.2×108m3.The paper has provided six drilling well sitesfor oil and gas exploration.5. The study also put some suggestions for well testing on seven old wells as the old wellcallback is one of important measure for the reserves development and the benefit ofexploration.
