Academia and mining enterprises have been attempting to research the factors of influencing on collapse pillar's spatial distribution, because collapse pillar are rock barriers to modern mining machines. However, few of these influence factors has been found. The intense dissolution of the Ordovician limestones underlying the Permo-Carboniferous coal measure by groundwater is an essential process for collapse pillar development, and there should be a relationship between collapse pillar distribution and groundwater flow route, this research simulates the evolution of the groundwater flows and its routes since the formation of this groundwater system by using the qualitative and half-quantitative methods.The first step is plotting the unit boundary of Taiyuan Xishan karst water system and building the hydrology conception model for getting spatial extension of the model. The second step is making virtual bore by using coal seam floor DEM to calculate every layer's elevation and constructting the 3D geological body of Taiyuan Xishan karst water system. The third step is getting the ancient recharge condition of Taiyuan Xishan karst water system by physiognomy analyses and evaluating roughly its discharge condition with a method of structure-hydrology evolvement, which makes it possible for...
