On The Bird Communities Of Mangrove Area In Shankou Of Guangxi

Bird communities of Shankou mangrove area was studied from June 2005 to April 2006. Bird species composition, the relationship between bird communities and habitats, the function of bird community structures and their seasonal patterns, the interspecific attraction of the migration waterbirds were analyzed.100 bird species, belonging 34 families 11 orders were recorded during the study period in Shankou mangrove area. Among them, 72 bird species 28 families 9 orders were recorded in winter, 39 bird species 21 families 10 orders were recorded in summer, 58 bird species 28 families 10 orders were recorded in autumn, 51 bird species 25 families 9 orders were recorded in spring. Among the 100 species, 33 species are water birds, 67 species are terrestrial birds, and it is important part of bird community structure in this area.The species richness index, species evenness index, species diversity index and Sorenson index were use to measure and analyze the characteristics of bird community structure in every habitat in Shankou mangrove area and their relationships in summer and winter respectively. In the six habitats, the sequence of Shannon-Wiener index of bird communities was: Yingluo mangrove habitat > farmland habitat > Dandou mangrove habitat > terrestrial-forest habitat > salt field and shrimp pond habitat > beach habitat. The highest species richness was in Yingluo mangrove habitat, but the highest species evenness in farmland habitat. According to the Sorenson index, the most similarly bird communities are the two mangrove habitats with other habitats respectively, but terrestrial-forest habitat and beach habitat didn't have same birds. Moreover, use G-F index to measure the species diversity of generic and families respectively, among them, F index is 13.21, G index is 3.41, G-F index is 0.74.
