Liaohe basin is the Tertiary petroliferous basin.There are a lot of wells drilling through the Mesozoic zone for other lower zones. There are some indications that Mesozoic zone contains oil, but never a potential block of Mesozoic zone is developed in Liaohe basin. We want to discovery the reservoir genetic in Mesozoic reservoir from researching basin stimulation with source rock, reservoir, cap rock, transition condition, wrap, preservation condition, and then find a way in researching resource evaluation and resource exploration.We establish the Mesozoic strata sequence with geologic zonation and paleontology markers. By using the drilling data,three-dimensional seismic data and high accuracy seismogram synthesis, the accurate structural interpretation is done. Drilling data has been used to check the faulted structural feature. Using 3-D seismic and drilling data, depositional feature of this Mesozoic zone was researched. The sand streaks of this zone are not stable and sand streaks determine reservoir, so the drilling data and reservoir inversion are used to research the reservoir location. Through researching structure feature,sand body,core analysis,well test,reservoir genetic feature, the oil-water relationship and geologic control factor are determined. This research is advanced research of reservoir genetic feature of Mesozoic zone in Huanxiling oilfield.There are Sunjiawan group layer and Fuxin group layer from researching Mesozoic strata sequence by regional correlation in Huanxi areas. There is a suit of red glutenite layer and red shale layer in Sunjiawan group layer. And a suit of red glutenite and red shale alternating layers in upper Fuxin group layer and a suit of gray glutenite and gray shale layer in below Fuxin group layer, nipped with thin coal and bind. Mesozoic reservoir in Huanxi areas is controlled by the north to east fault. The oil mainly comes from oil source rock in Sha-3 layer and Sha-4 layer in Paleogene. The oil mainly carry from oil resource rock to Mesozoic reservoir by fault directly. Secondly the oil carry from the Mesozoic unconformity .The idea of the new rocks grow oil and the ancient rocks deposit oil and horst block contains oil give a way to research the subsequent exploration. This is a researching model to find new layers in old oilfield, and guide the exploration of Mesozoic reservoir in Liaohe Basin.
