Study On Groundwater Exploitation And Its Geo-disaster Of Environment

Groundwater forms a significant part of the water resources in the north of China and land subsidence becomes one kind of prominent geo-disasters caused mainly by confined groundwater over exploitation nowadays. Under this urgent circumstance, there is a great demand for exploitation and management of groundwater resource that groundwater exploitation must be combined with the forecast of geo-disasters to get optimal quantity of groundwater and minimize land subsidence.Based on systemic analysis of hydrology, meteorology, geology, social economy and the mechanism of groundwater circulation, this thesis firstly evaluates the groundwater and surface water resources in Ningjin using water balance method and the results show the facts of groundwater over exploitation and impossible recycle of surface water resources in this region. Secondly, through the analysis of the formation and development of land subsidence, the hydraulic head variation and the trends of land subsidence in 10, 15 and 20 years are forecasted using the data gained from pumping tests. Finally, according to the actuality of water resources and the forecast of land subsidence in situation of exploitation, measures for avoiding geo-disasters are presented, including strengthening water-saving and waste water treatment, seeking water resources in many ways etc. With these measures, the well circulation and sustainable utilization of water resources will be realized.
