As a part of famous polymetallic mineralization belt in middle- lower valley of the Yangtze River, tens of larger and medium iron, copper, molybdenum, gold polymetallic ore deposits have been discovered in the northwestern Jiangxi area.In view of complex geological condition in the area, based on the analysis to the regional geological background, through analysis and calculation to different wave band ETM remote sensing data , the paper carries on a study for the fault and the ring structure. Simultaneously ,combined with gravity and magnetism , this paper not only discusses the mineralization rules of gold and copper ore deposits in northwestern area of Jiangxi from the aspect of the remote sensing geology, but also reveals that structures control mineralization in the area and provides evidence for ore prediction.These researches, strengthened this viewpoint on the structure controlling ore, have a important signification for us to correctly appraise mineralization rules and analyze prospecting perspective and then accurately delineate the prospecting target.The flowing study is believed.Firstly, the basement and the caprock have been formed two bigger tectonic layer after multiple stage of tectonic movement in the area: the cross of NWW trending and NE trending deep fault has been formed the basement rhombus grid structure which is important ore-fluid leading structure; the cross of NEE trending and NW trending fault has been formed the cap rhombus grid structure which joints are important .The rhombus grid structure of basement and caprock are the fundament framework in the area. A set of unique sedimentary formations and magma formations that is formed through tectonic movements since Jinning movement, especially magmatism in Yanshanian provided the material conditions for the mineralization.Secondly, It is believed that the linear structure mostly developed though the remote sensing image interpreting .In the four different trending of NE,NEE,NW and NWW, NEE and NE trending extremely grows .It is divided into three fault structure zones for NEE trending including DengJiashan -Tongjiangling, Shuangqiaoshan -Wushan and Langjunshan - DingJiashan linear structure belt and two fault structure zones for NW trends including DengJiashan -Wushan-Xixinqiao, Nanyang -Ruichang linear structure belt. These fault structure zones is related to mineralization. It also is divided into two ring structure including Nangyan, Langjunshan-Dingjiashan ring structure belts according to combination type of ring structure.lastly, The distribution of the gold and copper ore deposits is controlled by the linear fault structure and the ring structure. There are favorable positions on the edge of ring structure and in the crosses where different fault meet each other and ring structure meet linear structure . The preliminary prediction for gold and copper ore deposits in this area is suggested in the paper through the research.
