Some members of three genera in Rhytismataceae which collected from the south mountains of Anhui province were systematically studied with the most novelty and advanced poly-character integrated taxonomy method which is based on the characters of morphology,developmental biology,ecology and distribution.Twenty-eight Lophodermium strains on angiosperms were charaterized by RAPD-PCR reaction with 9 random primers whose gel electroersis diagrams can be amplified repeatedly and clearly. By the comparison of RAPD analytic results and the phenotypic characters,indicated the importance of some morphological characters such as the embedded position of ascomata, stromata,asci,ascospores,paraphyses and the category of hosts on the classification of species level.Relationships of some intraspecific and interspecific strains of Lophodermuim on angiosperms were affirmed.The main result is as follows:(1)Nearly 300 specimens from the south mountains of Anhui province and Anhui Agricultural University Forest Protection(AUUFP)were identified according to the taxonoic principles of Darker(1967),Cannon & Minter(1986)and Kirk et al.(2001).8 species of Rhytismataceae were studied,including C.Limitatus of Coccomyces,H. stephanandrae of Hypoderma,L.agathidis,L.implicatum,L.minus,L.rufum,L. menispermi and L.photiniae of Lophoedemium.H.stephanandrae,L.menispermi and L.photiniae are new species among them.Dichotomous key to these species were complied.Morphological characteristics were described and illusteated,and habits,hosts and distributions wre recorded for the species.(2)Living fungi materials collected from the National forest park of Tiantangzhai, Anhui were isolated in MA culture media by tissue isolation technics,and 9 Lophodermium strains on angiosperms were obtained.During the period of the single point cultivating,culture character of the same species' fungi were distinct,even the same species of different hosts were different in growth rate,colony size,colony color and pigment producing.Each isolated strains attaches the description of the culture character.(3)9 primers which is composed of 10-oligoribonucleotide are used to analyze the genetic diversity of 28 Lophodermium strains on angiosperms.105 loci are deceted in total, among which there are 100 polymorphic loci.The percentage of polymorphic loci is 95.24%.Dendrogram of genetic relationships among Lophodermium strains on angiosperms is constructed on the UPMGA.The result demonstrates that 28 Lophodermuim strains on angiosperms are clustered into 7 groups in genetic distance 4.10. By the comparison of RAPD analytic results and the phenotypic character,we can confirm the importance of some morphological character such as the embedded position of ascomata,stromata,asci,ascospores,paraphyses and the category of hosts on the classification of Lophodermium.
