| Xiahe County is located at the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and the southwest of Gansu Province. Under the jurisdiction of Gannan Tibet Autonomous Prefecture in Gansu Province, Xiahe is recognized as the economic, cultural and religion center of Anduo Tibet area in Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan Province. Renowned for its various natural and cultural resources, the Xiahe County has rich and unique advantages in developing tourism. Over the past 20 years with China's opening-up and reforms, tourism in Xiahe has been promptly developed and well-known success has been achieved. The tourism has also played a significant role in the economic and social development of Xiahe County.However, at the same time, there are many problems and restricted factors existing in Xiahe tourism, such as the deterioration of ecological environment, lacking of systematic planning on exploiting tourism resources and poor traffic conditions, which hinder the further healthy development of Xiahe tourism. This article will take Xiahe County as an example, unify materials collected from ethnology on-the-spot investigation, analyze the tourism developing condition, draw lessons from the theory of anthropology of tourism, and put forward some suggestions and countermeasures which may help to realize the sustainable development of Xiahe County tourism. |
