During the time from March 2003 to December 2004,Zondy applied the program component-based embedded geographic information system(863),which expanded the scope of the application of GIS,at the same time,mobile communications equipment,particularly intelligent terminal equipment and GPS equipment for the rapid development of GIS application set higher requirements:Wireless network environment,mobile object space information in real time,interactive and dynamic management.Satellite-based positioning technology(GPS)is an important positioning technology in spatial location service applications.Its principle is that,To use several satellites to send location information to receiving equipment,that can make use of this data accessible by the same time to calculate the points relative to the distance from the satellite,so as to achieve the purpose of positioning,In order to be able to make embedded GPS system and harmonization of development,research shows:in embedded devices,GPS and GIS should be closely linked together,which can better play the role of GPS.For the reason of different limitations and special features,it is unrealistic to store much space geographic information in embedded devices,There are two main models of embedded information systems for applications:one based on storaging all the information upon Servers, Embedded equipment is only do basic arithmetic,most of the work will be done by server;An alternative model is that the spatial information stored.in the embedded equipment,no intermediate server support,no room for the wireless Internet as a transmission medium.Spatial information from vendors unified publishing,integrated GPS signal to achieve the applications.In the first model,spatial data stored in the main server,data is fetched from server realtime by wireless Internet,clients dose not do much computing work,the whole process has been sent to the server in the form of calculated request.the main role of Client is to make explanations using the data from server.Therefore,the design and technical realization of the above is not much difficulty.The other Model has a vastly difference with the former model.spatial data is stored in the client,the amount of data is very large,Computing and explanations work will be done by client.while Embeded devices have much limitations in storage and computation,therefore,the client will be very complex,So far we do not have a very good model to solve the problem.This paper discusses the research and application of model 2,which relates to the problem of moving objects and Spatial Information.this paper is divided into three major parts to elaborate spatial information capacity and the deployment of rational calculation in embedded devices,to give a basic computing and storage model related with Moving Objects,After that,to provide basic laboratory model for the application of GPS system.The first part is the Embedded System Description,and the second part is to explore the spatial data storage model,The third part is main research and disscusions of the whole storage model,In the fourth part of this paper,make the support as a theoretical model validation and application.
