A Study Of Urban Construction Synthetical Information System Based On SpatialWare

With the development of the economy, society and population, the world's process of urbanization is speeding up gradually. How to manage rationally and analyze synthetically with the mass data of the city which has the spatial character, how to guarantee the veracity and trend of data, and how to reflect the urban actuality and development rationally and truly, become urgently problems which urban planning, construction and management must resolve.Urban construction synthetical information system is a integrative software system based on relational database, which can manage the documents, photographs, videos and electronic maps(including urban planning map, soil used map, road-network map, red-line map and so on) of the urban construction. It achieved the automatic function in building the database of placenames, cross roads, documents, photographs, videos, and also achieved the function of the manage-in-networking as well as the conveniency of querying and browsing, it is a powerful tool for the urban construction department to manage, coordinate and use the synthetical information effectively.This paper studies the basic theory of system integration, puts forward a whole development scheme which is based on GIS and MIS integrated technology by analyzing three kinds of development modules of GIS, indicates that urban construction's synthetical information is a kind of multi-source information, realizes that the high-networking of synthetical informations and urban's synthetical information can be queried and browsed visually. Based on the research above, this paper finishs requirement analyzing and designing to "urban construction synthetical information system", and achieved the system's function of three modules which can be used to manage, query and browse urban construction informations.The technical problems also has be discussed during the process of developing this system, including the management of spatial data based on SpatialWare; the conversion between BLOB type data and media files; the exploitation in using modules of MapX in PowerBuilder; the scheme of building the database of documents, photographs,videos,audios and electronic maps; the inplemention technology of navigation map, etc.
