With the continually lucubrate of the earth erosion and the soil and water conservation, the high stable performance artificial rainfall simulator was needed in the experiment for science research. The improved troughs and bottom sprays artificial rainfall simulator can satisfy the experiment index such as the rainfall area, the rainfall intensity control and the rainfall uniformity. But with the increment of experiment time, it happens that the twist off of spray pendulum shaft and the electromagnet misoperation of machine vibration, so it's badly need to solve this problem.The original troughs and bottom sprays artificial rainfall simulator was further consummated in this thesis. The performance of artificial rainfall simulator was improved by the simulation analysis of malfunction system based on AMESim, and then enhanced the rainfall equality and the stability and reliability of the machine performance. The main contributions of the paper are the following:1) The improved redesign of mechanism system was completed. The kinematics and dynamics of the four bar mechanism of rainfall simulator was analyzed by AMESim, and the new mechanism was designed accordingly.2) The simulation analysis of the artificial rainfall simulator intermission movement was completed by AMESim which combined with MATLAB. The analysis of simulation results explain the failure cause of electrical system, and then provide the settle way. The inspect setting of the intermission movement unit was designed and installed, and its data were collected and analyzed, which prove feasibility of the settle way.3) The manufacture technique of the supplyment water channel was improved, and the rainfall dividing cap and main pipe were redesigned. The circuit control system of the water pump was designed which insure the stability of the hydraulic pressure system in different rainfall situation. The hydraulic pressure system of the artificial rainfall simulator was simulated and it provided data for spot experiment.The redesigned and improved rainfall simulator has well performance, high rainfall uniformity, and higher stability.
