Now the airship-towed system can be used in these fields of weapon experimentation, air transportation, etc. The experimentation of airship-towed system, which can greatly save the outlay of the experimentation, can achieve the intention of the bomb-drop experimentation without using bombs, makes a great realistic significance in weapon experimentation.This thesis summarizes these research fields of the tether dynamics, such as tethered satellite system, aerial-towed cable system, underwater towed system, etc. Then the Constraint Force Algorithm and Kane's method which can resolve the problem of a kind of special open chain multi-rigid-body system are introduced in this thesis. This thesis develops the lumped mass spring model and multi-rigid-body model of tether, and then analyses some kinetic problems of the deployment of tether, such as the strain, the velocity of deployment and the attitude of the finite segment of tether, in the case of the bomb dropped from the airship. The attitude of the bomb in the airship-towed system is also studied in this thesis, considering the influence of the tether in the system. At last, the dynamics of tether and the kinetics of the bomb is studied when the airship makes a tiny circular motion in the air. The simulation results in this thesis accord with the phenomenas in actual experimentation, so the results also prove the feasibility of these methods. Contrasting these two models, the simulation results show that the multi-rigid-body model is better than that of lumped mass spring model.The dynamics of tether and bomb in the experimentation of bomb-dropping in airship-towed system is mainly studied in this thesis, which can provide some theoretical methods for the experimentation of airship-towed system instead of the experimentation of airship-dropped system. This thesis synthesizs and applies the principles analytical methods of multi-body dynamics, and the simulation results are useful to the experimentation of bomb-dropping in airship-towed system.
