Agricultural Zoning Study On Bashang Areas In Zhangjiakou Based On GIS

Zhangjiakou bashang district, which lies in the transitional belt between agriculture and animal husbandry, is the ecological defense of beijing. The environment quality of this area, has direct influence to the ecological security of the city of Beijing. As a result, it is concerned by the government and many scientists. For about several centuries, this district has been covered mainly by grass, which makes the good environment. However, in the past decades, the environment of this area have decayed, lakes were running up without water, the ground water level descended obviously. Because of this, researches of bashang district are mainly on fields of environment treatment and ecological agriculture development and etc. Environment treatment is highly interrelated with economic development, especially agriculture. From the last few years of 20th century up till now, the government of bashang district carried out the plan of returning farmland back to forestry and grass, to stop the tendency of the decaying of local environment. However, two problems are still not concerned by the public: first, the local government carried out the plan without clear knowledge and investigation of land resources. Second, there is no scientific planning of agriculture and animal husbandry. The reasons above, slow down the procedure of environment treatment.This article is mainly on the direction of the agriculture development. The author analyzed the natural resource factors (climate resource, water resource and land resource) that have influence on the agriculture and animal husbandry development, and the author gets the result that the main factors that have influence on the agriculture development are slope, soil quality and water resource (the effective accumulated temperture is also one of the important factors, however it has no obvious influence. So, the author did not take it seriously) . The agriculture development of bashang area lies mainly on the regulation, which has direct influence from the slope. The author use DEM to classified the area into three districts. With the relation between slope and agriculture, the author named different ditrict after planting area, animal husbandry area and forestry area. Then the author makes single factor map with the soil quality data and groundwater data. And the author overplayed them to form synthetic map. At last, through the comparison with water consumption, economical efficiency, the author finds the proper location for each different work.The main conclusions are: (1) Bashang district can be divide into 3 different areas for agriculture, planting area, animal husbandry area and forestry area; (2) The vegetables of bashang now are not suitable, the development of low water consumption vegetable as cauliflower and carrot are necessary;(3) Farm land lies mainly on the plain area with plenty water, as pingdingbao town in guyuan county;(4) In planting and animal husbandry area, corn planting ,forge maize economic efficiency is the best;(5) Most areas are lack of water, so the development of grass is necessary;(6) From economic point of view, cow is suitable for animal husbandry;(7)The natural environment of bashing is not fitable for forestry development.
