In the domain of marine monitoring technology, the small wave buoy is a very important instrument and the study of such equipment has gotten people's attention and concern. The subject of this paper relying on: National 863 Program -the wave buoy project standardization projects of marine monitoring technology standardization direction.This paper, introduced several foreign typical wave buoys first and the development of wave measurement equipment in China's history and current situation, and then gave a briefing on the acquisition system design of SZF wave buoys, the functional principle of the main components, including: choice of single chip Machine, choice of A/D converter chip, the choice of data storage, the working principle of high-tilt sensor integration of wave measurement module. Finally, introduced a wave buoy-based SZF data-processing software. In this paper, the SZF-wave buoy data processing software relies on joint programming of visual basic software and Matlab, the software interface technology provides the conditions for joint programming. The data processing software finish the data preprocessing with technology of Vb serial port: convert the original data files into metric data files, prepared for the follow-up data processing. In the joint programming, read the data file into VB array, then read the array into Matlab matrix, completed the final calculation and painting using Matlab engine. The end result of running software: wave height-time diagram, height-time diagram after filtering, power spectrum, directional spectrum.SZF-wave buoy project has been adopted by the 863 national project assessing team. A lot of experiments and practical applications in the sea show that, the SZF-wave buoy data processing software in the paper is stable and reliable.
