This project is a sub-part of the project,"A small multi-parameter marine environment detection buoy", in major project Marine Monitoring Technology under China national 863 programs. The task of the thesis is making the optimization design and doing research on the digital Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler(ADCP)ADCP is widely applied to drift track field, with such properties as non-intrusive and inertia-less measurement and making profile measurement of large scale flow velocity without disturbing flow filed. Doppler effect and vector summation scheme are the theoretical basis of profile measurement of ADCP. First, the history and meaning of ADCP are introduced by this thesis. Then based on the traditional ADCP, the complete digital solution of ADCP design is proposed and fulfilled by inducing the software radio idea, and the optimization design is analyzed. The debugging of the system is also an important thing, it is related to the performance and stability of the system. Based on the modularization, the thesis has done some deep research into the debugging of the digital ADCP system.The core of the task is to realize sound wave signal processing by the digital method, including the sending of sound wave synthesis, the receiving of water body scattering sound wave, the collection and quantification of high frequency analogue signal, digital normal demodulation, DSP processing, data storage and logic control in the process of measurement. It contains the digital processing technique in the core of DSP chip TMS5410, DDS technique, digital frequency down-conversion technique based on ISL5216 and high speed collection and real time processing of signal data flow.This thesis achieves the following innovative work:1. Analyzing the structure and design scheme of the system. To realize the cooperation of the modules based on analyzing the relationship between each module .2. Optimizing and modifying the lower-layer software by the CCS platform. To improve the performance of the sending signal by reasonable setting of the software. 3. Debugging the whole signal processing system by both software and hardware methods. To validate the ADCP system from the function-layer and code-layer separately, and find the problems therefore to improve the performance of the ADCP system.
