The eastern region of North China is one of the main hydrocarbon producing areas of our country's eastern region, also one of the most strongly regions of tectonic activity, Which experienced multi-phase and complex tectonic movement, resulting the tectonic stress field very complex. The development and evolution of tectonic stress field not only control of the formation of hydrocarbon-bearing basins, but also effect the development process of hydrocarbon generation, migration, accumulation. Role mainly as follows: On the one hand, the tectonic stress provides energy for hydrocarbon generation, migration and accumulation; on the other hand tectonic stress is the main driver of oil and gas migration. Of the relationship between tectonic stress field and oil generation, migration, accumulation distribution is an important theoretical issues and practical engineering problems. For oil and gas exploration is a new theories, new methods and new technologies.Based on the former research, firstly, this paper summarizes the geological history of the tectonic. On this basis, through establish a reasonable geological model, appropriately analyze the pressure conditions. Apply the finite element software ANSYS for stress field simulation. Respectively, simulate the stress field of Indo-Chinese later epoch, Yanshan early epoch Yanshan mid and late epoch as well as Himalayan epoch. And over the existing distribution of oil and gas map on the stress field map, analyze the relationship between oil and gas and tectonic stress field. It is deemed that the tectonic stress has great influence on the generation, migration and accumulation of the oil and gas and high oppressing stress avails the hydrocarbon generation. The tectonic stress is a direct impetus for the oil and gas migration. The low-stress areas which are surrounded by the high-stress areas are very favorable for the accumulation of oil and gas. Finally, forecast favorable oil and gas accumulation zones and successfully forecast the Gaogu 4 oil and gas well.
