The Humanistic Significance And Present Value Of Kuhn's Paradigm Theory

Kuhn was a famous physical scientist, who was also good at scientific history and scientific philosophy. He pointed out the theory of Paradigm in , which had a creative meaning in the field of scientific philosophy. According to this book, the development of science depends on the scientific revolution. While The Paradigm was a key word in the scientific revolution, which signs the form of scientific community and the changes of different scientific community. In the later research of Paradigm, Kuhn found out the humanistic spirit inside the Paradigm, whose present impact will be the topic of this paper.Because of its complex development, this paper explains the meaning of Paradigm first, according to the three steps in Kuhn's studying career. Second, three functions of the Paradigm has will be sum up based on the influences it has to the scientist and the scientific community. They are worldview function,epistemology function and methodology function. These functions have very closed relationship with scientific community, which play important roles in the process of scientific development. They are not only illuminating the humanistic spirit of the Paradigm, but also making the humanistic spirit inside the science become clear. So, this paper emphasizes the humanistic spirit and history meaning of Paradigm, based on explaining the meaning and the quality of it, so as to figure out the commonplace between the scientific culture and humanistic culture, and find the chance of getting the scientific culture and humanistic culture together. Then , this paper find out the important impact of Paradigm to the process of construction of harmonious society, and which can benefit for the revolution in Chinese educational system, which is breaking up scientific and humanistic education.In a word, the humanistic spirit of Paradigm are helpful to find the humanistic spirit inside the science, which benefits for unifying the Scientific culture,scientific spirit and humanistic culture,humanistic spirit together. At last, the paper demonstrates the positive impacts Paradigm has to the construction of harmonious society and the revolution in Chinese educational system.
