The Research And Development Of A 3D Photo-Realistic Digital Map

Today the traditional map and digital map are focus on describing the 2D information. It is limited to display 3D information by 2D forms, and much information is lost. Recent years, with the development of Computer Techniques, Computer Graphics, Remote Sensing and Photogrammetric Survey, we need to visual 3D information, deal with, display and analyze the related data interactively. The 3D photo-realistic digital map is fit to achieve these functions.In the thesis it introduces the background, significance and the situation in and abroad of the 3D digital map. Aiming at each character of photo-realistic digital map and 3D virtual scene meanwhile combining technology of 3D modeling, It sum up a set of reasonable method to make digital map. The focus is on the capturing the data of terrain and objects, such as the roads, water system and buildings; and on the advanced prioritization scheme of 3D modeling, such as the planning of the standard scenes--lights, cameras, and public material; and on the advanced of buildings and landscape, which is mainly concentrated on the building many models in a short time and the method of dealing with the 3D photo-realistic digital map; and on the rendering of the 3D scenes, which is referred poorly in virtual reality, but importantly for the 3D photo-realistic digital map. It tells the theory of rendering and the improvement of render; and on the later treatment. After the rendering completed, they need to be adjusted, then the completed 3D photo-realistic digital map of Ocean University of China is mapped.When the3D photo-realistic digital map has been created, it should be integrated with GIS and MIS to achieve the MIS of Ocean University of China, which can manage the house property by visualization. It is good for manager to manage the property, and advances the development of landscape digital map at a certain extent. The article has the new idea following: first it sums up a set of reasonable method to make digital map including the capturing the data of terrain and objects, the creating of the scene and the adjusting of the map; next it combines the 3D photo-realistic digital map with the MIS, which is a attempt to make the 3D photo-realistic digital map and has a great meaning in theory and reality.
