The area of Beizhong sub-depression in Hailaer basin is located in New Baerhu Right Flag town of Hulunbeier city in Mongolia Autonomous Region, which is one of the most important gas and oil rich bed in Hailaer basin. Meanwhile, it is also one of the most important regions, which could increase reserves and production in Hailaer basin. In the future development procession of Hailaer basin, it would occupy an important position. This study of theoretical guidance is Architectonic Geology, Geology of Petroleum, Deposition Geology, and Well Logging Geology. The study targeted is Nantun formation 1'st member in Beizhong sub-depression area. On the basic of the study information about drilling core, well logging, well testing, testing for oil, oil/gas/water analysis, the majors carried out in-depth and detailed study about general geology, structural feature, fluid nature, reservoir nature, oil/gas/water distribution and reservoir style of Nantun formation 1'st member reservoir and achieved some new understanding and new development, which would play a very important guiding significance for the development of Beizhong sub-depression area. This study obtains the following conclusions:1. Through the great quantity study of logging, well logging and drilling core information, according to the principle of"Cyclic comparison, Step control"and the three flooding surface and one deposition transfer surfaces, the Nantun formation 1'st member from top to bottom is divided into five oil layer, sixty-one sub layer.2. Through the characteristics study of intended zone structure, litho logic character, depositional sequence and logging trace, the structure of Beizhong sub-depression could be divided into western fracture, middle bottom up-swell and northern fault zone. The oil layer is Lake Basin badly fault depression period deposition, and developed fan delta, braid river delta, deep lake, and sub-deep lake deposition system. The oil is mainly distributed in the fan delta front distributary channel microfacies, the small amount is distributed in the mouth bar and sand sheet microfacies.3. According to the research results of petroleum geology show that, the oiliness of reservoir is dual effected by lithologic character and structure. The highest thickness of sandstone is 141 meter, and the average thickness is about 75 meter. The sand main trend is southern thickness and northern thinner. The average valid thickness of oil layer is 18.5 meter. The lithologic character is mainly composed by detrital material of terrigenous origin, ubiquitous tuffaceous and volcanic rock.4. The use of the recognition of experience about reservoir type is to know the reservoir type, and show that, in the column, the reservoir display oil-dry, oil-gry with water, oil-water, oil with water forms. In the plane, the different blocks have different water-oil interface, and the lithology is structure reservoir.5. According to the theory of sedimentology and geology of petroleum, we evaluate the reservoir in generally and build three-dimensional geologic pattern, which will provide the geologic basement for numerical modeling of the oil field development.
