An Application Of GIS System In Seismic Exploration

The process of oil seismic exploration is the process of seismic information acquisition, processing, interpretation and application essentially. It formed amount of valuable professional information. The preservation and application of the information have significant value for new exploration deployment and the production. Simultaneously, exploration data have the characteristic of multiple sources and multiple types. So it is very difficult to acquire, preserve and manage data. The exploration data is strongly relativity for geography, the tradition RDBMS and MIS system can not perform and process the spatial characteristic of the exploration data.The article deeply researches and discuses about the difficulty of the exploration information management. Firstly, made a requirement analysis in detail, and research into the technique and method about GIS, give the feasible method of set up the database of the spatial data. Design the GIS system structure frame, using GIS platform integration MIS system, achieved the unification and management of the exploration information.Base on the research and discussion above, at last the article designed and realized the GIS system, successfully realized the GIS system application in seismic production,and realized vision management of Exploration information and using GIS system to MIS system united information resource management. During the process of research, the article has resolved the following key technique: database development technique that base on Client/Server and Bowser/Server, graphical technique and realize the spatial database; application of MapInfo;application of Map Guide;Spatial coordinate and coordinate system conversion; data exchange and vision control technique based on XML.Passing test, the GIS system had run in the practice. It benefits the work efficiency and better economic efficiency.
