In order to study deep-sea hydrothermal system, a variety of samplers are invented, in which the time serial sampler become a hotspot due to its long-term observation and time-series sampling function.This article is supported by the national 863 project "The sequence sampling technology of the deep-sea water". The main content is as follows,First, based on the theoretical analysis and experimental research of the existing single sampler, the reasons to impact the pressure retaining performance were found and some pieces of suggestions for improvements were put forward.Second, the sealing joints, which are used on a large-scale in the sampling device was researched as a key point, after analyzing the sealing principle and the existing structure of the sealed joints, a new type of sealing pipe joints structure was proposed and verified though its sealing performance experiments.Third, under the requirements of long-term detecting and sequence sampling, the sequence sampling control circuit and its corresponding software were designed and debugged.Finally, the circuit cavity and the overall structure of the time-series sampler was designed, combined with the sampling units and the control circuitry, two complete time-series samplers were formed and a simulation sampling experiments was conducted, the results showed that the time-series samplers had good reliability and the pressure of the sample had reached the 863 project's requirements.
