Brief Analysis Habermas's Science And Technology Thought And Contemporary Inspiration

With the advent of the knowledge-based economy, science and technology proceeds in an explosive manner. It has an increasingly profound impact on people's production and life; it is also related to human's future and destiny. Therefore, people pay more attention to the social function, status and influence of science-technology. The academic study of science and technology goes more and more in-depth and it is no longer confined to science and technology itself or in economic development. In short, the reflection on science and technology has become an important issue in this era. On the basis of Heidegger, Marcuse, Habermas thinks that science and technology have great influence on economic development; meanwhile, it played a negative role to the society. A dual understanding of science and technology believes that as the first social productive forces, science and technology rule the nature; at the same time, as an invisible ideology, science and technology achieve the goal to rule the human and society. Habermas's ideas and perspectives are constructive. It helps us to construct socialism with Chinese characteristics and implement the"technology and education" strategy.This article is based on Marxist dialectical materialism and historical materialism. The author is ready to explore the thinking of Habermas's technology from natural and social areas. In this article, beside of introduction and conclusion, there are other three sections. The first part is about the background of Habermas'thought of technology (social and historical conditions, cultural background of philosophy, history of science and technology). The second part describes the scientific and technological ideas of Habermas:Habermas' understanding of the nature of science and technology, and understanding of Habermas'science and technology ideas from two respectives. The third part is about the inspiration that Habermas'science and technology ideas bring to China.
