In statistical prediction of mineral deposit, how to effectively extract ore-forming information influences the mineral prediction accuracy, prospecting efficiency and exploration costs. Manganese ore forming factors and basic methods of ore-forming information extracting were researched by taking manganese ore in west Guangxi and southeast Yunnan as the experimental platform.Focusing on the issue that the analysis and use of the multiple ore-forming informations were not comprehensive by using traditional method of metallogenic information extracting, a series of GIS-based method of ore-extracting were proposed. It can quantitatively extract the spatial relationship of all kinds of geological.Sedimentary basins and fracture would influence the deposit (point) with the characteristics that their influence of spatial orientation will change gradually with distance strength superposition. According to these characteristics, a new method of extracting metallogenic information based on field model was used to extract metallogenic information.This new method extracting metallogenic information field including the metallogenic influence field and the metallogenic distance field.According to the study the Genetic types and the characteristics manganese deposits of the west Guangxi and southeast Yunnan district, the formation and distribution information of metallogenic ore was summed up based on synthesizing the relevant geological data and metallogenic regularity. Taken manganese diverse geological spatial database as data-driven, and on the basis of cell division and geological variables values, quantitative analysis of correlation relationships between ore-controlling information and manganese mineralization distribution was done by using GIS-based method of ore-extracting. The mineralization indicators were extracted to build the metallogenic prediction models. Prediction models contain combinations of domains model and ore-forming favorability prediction model based on weighting of evidence. In the end,7 prospecting targets of manganese ore was predicted. The research achieved some results in the manganese forecast.
