View Of Science And Technology Of Eco-marxism

Eco-Marxism is a new important theoretical sect of Marxist study abroad. It combines Marxism with contemporary ecological problem, trying to find an effective way to solve the ecological crisis, especially deeply criticizing the capitalist use of science and technology and proposing some new technical ideas, which forms a unique view of science and technology.This paper comprehensively elucidates the origins and background of its production, and development process of the view of science and technology of eco-Marxism; objectively analyses the eco-Marxist technological criticism theories including that science and technology being the means to"control nature", serving to capitalism by means of it being the root of ecological crisis and being the cause of the fracture of natural and social metabolism; carefully analyses of intermediate technology, soft technology and alternative technology and other new technology which the eco-Marxist claimed; objectively evaluates the advantages and disadvantages view of science and technology of Eco-Marxism. The paper reveals the important theoretical and practical significance for us to solve the ecological crisis, to make reasonable use of the science and technology and construct the current ecological civilization of China.
