LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) technology is a active observation system to the ground which has small amount of work outside,automation, fast mapping, etc. it also integrated laser range technology,inertia Measure Unit (IMU),the global positioning systems and other advanced technology, which may bring a new revolutionary for surveying and mapping (Status, 2003). We can get the digital elevation model (DEM) by the original LIDAR data processed,The high-precision DEM model is very important in the city planning, geographic information system analysis, terrain 3D visualization, road design.The DEM interpolation is the core problem of the DEM construction.which means get the unkown elevation point through some know elevation points. different interpolation algorithmst directly affect the quality of the DEM model it called interpolation problem in mathematics run through DEM production, quality control, accuracy evaluation and analysis.This paper mainly studies the LIDAR data processing theory and methods and Investigate how to get the key technologies of DEM model through LIDAR data processing, and toward the characteristics of blank in the LIDAR data after filtered, Seeking an effective Method to generating grid DEM model. Details are as follows:1. Analysis the Principle of observation system to the ground of LIDAR technology,the Superiority of this technology,the the current research situation and the Applications of LIDAR technology,the feature and the organization of the LIDAR data,introduce and summary the latest LIDAR technology.2. Study the different method of Construction of DEM model,mainly based on TIN, Regular Grid, contour lines, Mixed surface model. analysis of their characteristics,Emphasis the Principle and Implementation process of TIN and Regular Grid method,Achieve the Construction and Visualization of the TIN and Regular Grid DEM mdel.3. Study the organization and the procession of the large LIDAR cloud point data,toward the LIDAR data compression and error exclusion method,This article use the Slope threshold method on the LIDAR data compression and error exclusion algorithm,toward the Algorithm of surface features exclusion,this paper compared and analysis the current different filtering algorithms, Use the Moving Surface Fitting and Iterate Least Squares model on the mountain and plain areas, Obtained the effective filtering algorithm in different areas.4. This article explained in detail on the LIDAR data compression and error exclusion, And comparative with the current different filter method on experiment, toward the currently common Least Squares Filtering Algorithm,this paper propose an improved surface fitting interpolation algorithm of different kinds of right,which is the Inverse distance,I type,â…¡type,â…¢type of right,analysis the Difference between the Interpolat data with the Actual Data and the Three-dimensional DEM model thought experiment on the plain city, mountain hills, water area. And acquire an efficient interpolation algorithm of grid-based DEM model at last.5. Write the program of LIDAR data processing and 3D visualization process Independently, planning and design the main interface and operational processes of the program,achieve three-dimensional visualization base on OPENGLand VISUAL BASIC,and complete all kinds of filter Module,interpolation algorithm module,data Compression Module,TIN and regular net module,Achieve the program of LIDAR data processing and visualization proaming Initially...
