| Urban Three-dimensional visualization is not only the main direction of the city information development but also the main contents of the digital city development, and the important part of digital earth construction. It is large, complicated and long-term system engineering. Three-dimensional visualization of urban information is the special expression of the digital city spatial data, and it adopts the three-dimensional visualization express way to show the earth's surface, current situation and regional planning condition and so on of the real city. It has the function of three-dimensional browse,inquire,analysis,spatial data management and map publishing. Its application has increasingly evident superiority and irreplaceable, and it can supply the strong technical support for urban planning construction and decision-making to improve the efficiency and management level of the urban planning sector.In the urban construction of three-dimensional visualization, three-dimensional modeling is the important content of research. This paper described the development of the urban three-dimensional GIS, the key technology of the three-dimensional, the acquisition of the urban data. Take the Ling tong campus of the Xi'an University of Science and Technology for example, this paper built the three-dimensional model by the use of SketchUp modeling software, and realized the models interaction with the ArcScene three-dimensional visualization software platform by the use of the SketchUp-ESRI plug-in. It created the terrain model using DEM data which was acquired by the use of the digital photogrammetry workstation JX-4. It also realized a series functions and the application by the use of the secondary development component ArcGIS Engine, and discussed the approach, technology, modeling process, the development and the application of the three-dimensional modeling which was based on ArcScene and SketchUp. The experiment proved that the whole technology process used in this paper can build the three-dimensional models quickly and efficiently, and for spatial applications. And it can be well applied to urban planning, real estate information release, regional development, digital campus, digital communities and other areas to provide positive significance for the construction of digital cities. |
