From the 8th c B.C. to the 2nd c, copper-metalwork technology had had a major impact on the iron-metalwork technology. Copper-metalwork technology lays the foundation for the iron-metalwork technology. Based on the technological development level of copper-metalwork:the stage before the existence of shaft furnace and the stage of shaft furnace copper-metalwork technology, the level of copper-metalwork technology is low which has a limited impact on the iron-making technology. The shaft furnace copper-metalwork technology stage lays a foundation for the iron-metalwork technology.Based on the analysis and discussion on the typical unearthed relics and sites of the different periods, the copper-metalwork technology's impact on the block iron-metalwork technology, the crucible furnace iron-metalwork technology and the shaft furnace iron-making technology from copper-metalwork technology. Base on the characteristics of the copper-metalwork technology's impacting on the iron-making technology, the cooper-metalwork technology's impacts on the iron-metalwork technology gradually:from the low-temperature solid-state reduction method technology to high-temperature liquid reduction method; the kind of ironware develops from block iron to cast iron and the toughness of the ironware increased greatly.Through the analysis and explore of the copper-metalwork technology's impact on iron-metalwork technology which help us to understand the development of iron-metalwork technology.
