Gear-grinding is an effect way on finish-grinding of the high-precision gear shaper cutter. The gear grinder with flat-faced wheel Y7125 is usually used in grinding high-precision involute profile for its higher rigidity of transmission chain, simple structure, high grinding precision and easy refinement. The grinding accuracy is affected by many factors among them the improvement of dynamic accuracy of Y7125 plays a vital role. Aiming at vibration-damping experiment of Y7125, measuring and cutting experiment of high-precision gear shaper cutter, research work is started as follows:Firstly, based on the theoretical analysis, by replacing some parts and optimizing numbers of damping and regulating belt tightness in the grinding machine, vibration experimental platform is built by dynamic signal analyzer and sensor. By collecting and analyzing the spectrum of the vibration signal the vibration displacement of Y7125 is decreased. Finally the dynamic accuracy of Y7125 is improved.Subsequently, the accuracy of the processed gear shaper cutters is measured by gear testing center Mahr891E comprehensively. The results show that the accuracies of the high-precision gear shaper cutters which are developed by DLUT fully reach class AA according to GB/T 6082-2001 and DIN 1829-2:1977 in Germany.Finally, the influence factors of gear errors are analyzed, the errors of gear shaping machine's spindle rotation are measured and the cutting experiments are performed by the high-precision gear shaper cutters developed by our laboratory with class AA and the tools with class A and B in the market. The processed gears are measured by gear testing center and the results of the experiment are compared. In the same conditions, the accuracy of the gears manufactured by high-precision gear shaper cutters with class AA is higher than that manufactured by tools with class A and B by 1 grade.
