The surface subsidence caused by underground coal mining not only destroys the ecological environment and the surface buildings, but also associates with serious hidden troubles. The root way of solving this problem is to dispose the mine space reasonable. One technical approach is proposed to use high-water materials to fill caving zone and breaking zone of goof to control roof and overboard movement, which is different from traditional mortar filling, gangue filling and paste filling in gob, to achieve the purpose of controlling movement of mining overburden, slowing surface subsidence, and protecting surface buildings.Aiming at the implementation of this technology, we must resolve some questions as distribution form of three zones, the time and speed of ground depression, the formation mechanism of three zones, and liquidity of the high-water and so on. In this paper the relation of mining face advancing distance and ground depression in certain depth and height and certain overlying rock is researched with the method of similarity simulation, using the method of experiments to research flowing roles of the high water materials in broken rock of caving zone, and adopting the way of numerical simulation to research the ground depression situation before and after the high water is injected of caving zone and breaking zone.This paper researched the failure law of the overburden above goof and the time and speed of rock movement affected the ground and the factors affecting of ground movements. At the same time this paper also researches the high-water's Physics and Chemistry properties and liquidity. According to the effect of overburden rock movement and the high-water's property to decorate drilling reasonable. Using high-water material materials to fill golf,so as to realize the ground zero settlement.At last this paper presents the technical theory of related parameters and process system. Through theoretical analysis and laboratory tests the main conclusions of research is as followed: It is effective to implement back filling technique in caving zone and breaking zone, control overburden rock mining subsidence, eliminate surface subsidence and protect the safety of the surface buildings.
