This paper summarizes the quality-improvement research advancement for fluid catalytic cracking gasoline (FCC gasoline), as well as the catalysis reaserach for light gasoline and etherification for heavy gasoline hydrodesulfurization process. The fluid catalytic cracking gasolines (FCC gasoline) for gasoline-used cars in China acounts for more than 70%, within which has a 40~60 percent of alkenes. Those kinds of gasolines have poor invariabilities and high sulfide content, are not qualified for the new quality specification of product oil.Focusing on the quality improvement of FCC gasoline, this paper cut the gasoline into two parts, the light and the heavy ones. Seperate researches of catalysis for the light gasoline and etherification for the heavy gasoline are carried out which finally gain a very good effect. Hereby illustrate the detailed discussions on these two researches. The researches use total-cut stable gasoline as the material which is produced by Lanzhou Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. Experimental and analog computation are conducted to understand the factors influencing the cutting in the seperating tower, such as plate number, feeding location, operational pressure and operational reflux ratio. It finally turns out that the best operational condition is under 18 plates, 0.2MPa operational pressure and 0.8 of the reflux ratio. And, under the circumstance of 18 plates, it shows the best feeding location is the 11th theoretical plate. The cutting experiment introduces the new developed LNEH-1 selective hydrogenated dienes-removed catalyst and discusses the factors affecting this catalyst such as reacting temperature, hydrogen/gasoline volume ratio and reacting pressure. The optimistical process conditions are 60℃, 1.5MPa and 30 of hydrogen/gasoline volume ratio. As for the etherification for the light gasoline, reacting temperature, the mol ratio of alcohols and tertiary carbon alkenes, as well as the feeding airspeed, are adopted for further analyses. The detectation of blended etherificated gasoline indicates a basic balance of the etherificated FCC gasoline. The blend gasoline has a 21.76% of alkenes content which is 11.68% below, and only 11.04% etheric compound, as well as 91.4 of octane number, 1 higher than original 90.4 .
