In the process of thin cold-rolled strip temper rolling, It is helpful for analysis and research of temper rolling to establish mathematical models of temper rolling key parameters such as temper rolling force, torque and loading roll gap, which thus is crucial to improve quality of thin cold-rolled strip. Based on the research of thin cold-rolled strip temper mill, to establish the mathematical models of temper rolling force, torque and loading roll gap applied to thin cold-rolled strip, which is very important to guide the technical research of temper mill complete equipment for newly-built or rebuilt temper mill unit.Firstly, according to the characteristics of temper rolling for thin cold-rolled strip, to consider its temper rolling as flat plate compression on the basis of analytical approach of existing rolling models and theories. Meanwhile, modified coefficients are involved in the process of calculation for temper rolling force and torque combined theoretical method and statistical method. Finally, the mathematical models of temper rolling force and torque based on parameters modification are obtained which is applied to the thin cold-rolled strip temper rolling. In addition, rolling force is one of the most important device and process parameter for thin cold-rolled strip temper mill, but it is impossible for traditional mathematical model of temper rolling force to get higher accuracy. Therefore, an integrated model is obtained by combining the traditional model of temper rolling force and RBF neural networks model. The simulation results indicates that integrated model of temper rolling force has higher accuracy compared the traditional mathematical model.Secondly, by analyzing different methods to calculate loading roll gap and combining the characteristics of six-high temper mill for thin cold-rolled strip, the mathematical models of loading roll gap for six-high temper mill are established by using matrix methods based on influence function, which include the establishment of calculated methods, rolls discretization, the calculation of temper rolling pressure and obtainment of initial values involved in iteration. And the temper rolling pressure is obtained by the mathematical model of temper rolling force above based on parameters modification.Finally, for single stand and six-high temper mill in a civil newly-built continuous annealing line, the mathematical models of temper rolling force and torque based parameters modification above are used to analyze its maximum temper rolling capability and assess whether the design of power parameter for hydraulic cylinder is reasonable or not. Moreover, the mathematical model of loading roll gap for temper mill is used to analyze the impacts of different controlled means for strip shape on the exit thickness of strip and contact pressure between temper rolls. The application shows that the mathematical models of key parameters for thin cold-rolled strip temper rolling have high value of application in practical projects.
