The paper investigated the negative influences of alkylphenol on development ofZebrafish (Brachydanio rerio) embryos, such as phenol, orthocresol, metacresol, paracresol and 2,4-tert-butyl phenol, which are typical environmental endocrinedisrupting chemicals. The results showed that alkylphenol was remarkably harmful to develpoment ofZebrafish embryos, which could cause abnormality or even lethality. The photographsof Zebrafish embryos taken during the toxicity test showed obviously lethal andteratogenesis for expoured embryos, such as: egg condensation and no extension(I-lethal), eyespot non-development and non-actuve movement in 20s (II-sublethal)after 24h; egg condensation, remarkable abnormal heartbeat (I-lethal), no pigment andheart cyst edema (II-sublethal) ater 48h; egg condensation and unfertilized (I-lethal),deformity (II-sublethal) after 72h. The relationship between toxicity and theirmolecule parameter were made by QSAR analyzing. Moreover, the toxic mechanismwas discussed briefly. The toxicity was estimated and compared by the acute toxicity experiments. Inthe combination toxicity estimation, different toxic effects were sorted and analysed.Their cumulation toxicity was also estimated and compared. In the correlation analysis, 2XV, 4XPCV and BCFfish had better correlation withtoxicity of alkylphenol than the other parameters. 1XV also had good correlation withthat of alkylphenol. 3XCV and Elumo had ordinary correlation with it.The correlation between toxicity and parameter (lgP) was showed by parametersstepwise regression analysis. Moreover, the toxicity equation was gained. Parameter(lgP) showed excellent linear correlativity with toxicity in the equation, R=0.99982,acording to the equation, the calculated values were all very similar to the actualmeasured ones.
