The vigorous development of horizontal well technology promotes thetechnology of horizontal well tractor advances. Compared to maturing technology inadvanced countries, the current domestic research for this type of technology stillremains in the reverse engineering phase. In the mechanical system of wheel straightinto tractor of horizontal well, drive system is to achieve start-driven arm, and is thekey of completed crawling traction. Based on in-depth analysis of working principleand working process of horizontal well tractor driven System, mechanical optimaldesign method, finite element technology and virtual prototyping tools is used toperfect the design of horizontal well tractor driven System.On the optimal design of mechanical drive systems, the paper first describes thecomposition of the whole robot system and focuses on the principle and workprocess of the driven system. Then create physical and mathematical model of drivesystem, then using the optimized design of the complex method, using MATLABprogramming language to get an optimization drive arm. BY using the optimizeddata, we obtained the spring stiffness, traction motor parameters, action motorparameters, and all the parameters of the structure design should need, and thencompleted the structural design of the drive system.Consider on working environment for the drive system , using finite elementtechniques verify the reliability of sealing technology of driven system, namely:analysis of the stress state of the O-ring seal in the fluid pressure balance inside andoutside , and verified by this method is reliable of. Also we analyze the pressuresleeve and the action sleeve in their respective state's work force reliability.Finally, Pro / E software is used to complete the drive system components designand in accordance with simulation process to complete the three-dimensionalmodeling of drive system, to establish a prototype drive system simulation. Andapply the assembly sequence planning ideas; the completion of the drive systemassembly sequence planning animations is to guide the assembly design. Sequence inthe development of assembly planning, and methods from the assembly processdesign of the original structure was modified and optimized.
