In recent years, climate change and greenhouse gas emissions have become hot issues. "Low-carbon economy" is a new concept proposed by international society, who response to that the large number of fossil fuels consumed and considerable CO2 emissions causing catastrophic global climate change. In the situation that the energy structure is difficult to change, controlling carbon dioxide emissions and developing low-carbon economy are ones of the most important environmental and energy prob-lems in the 21st. century.Smelting exhaust and automobile exhaust contain a lot of carbon momoxide and carbon dioxide. In this paper, the main aim was to find an excellent adsorbent to sep-arate CO2 and CO. This experiment studied several different adsorbnets to adsorb CO2 at 298k and 0.4 MPa, the flow rate of the stream was kept at 100cm3/min. The breakthrough curves, adsorption capacity and separation coefficient were obtained. when the coating ratio of the TEA modified SBA-15 was 1.00, the separation coeffi-cient calculated is 8.037. We also used ammonia to load on activated carbon, and found ammonia can enhance its selectivity for CO2., when loading ratio was 0.950, the adsorption capacity of CO was almost zero, separation coefficient between CO2 and CO reached up to 29542.The two saturated adsorbents of TEA modified SBA-15 and activated carbon loaded ammonia were regenerated, the result showed that the TEA modified SBA-15 was difficult to regenerate when purged or vacuumed at the ambient temperature. The activated carbon loaded ammonia needed to be heated to achieve complete regenera-tion, we found the saturation adsorbent can be regenerate completely when at 60℃for 30 minutes or 100℃for 15 minutes.
