The Research On The Integration Of The Cryogenic Purifier And The Refrigerated Methanol Wash For Natural Gas Based Ammonia Manufacture

Relied on the patent technique developed by the inorganic chemical engineering staff room of chemical engineering department of DUT,took the advantage of RPS,based on the practical data of the second fertilizer plant in Urumchi,Author researched on the problem of how to apply refrigerated methanol wash to themanufacture of ammonia which uses natural gas as feedstock. Four technical optionsinvolving a recommended one are presented. Calculation results show that therecommended option is good:it can meet the requirement of technology;can retrieve most of the CO2 and satisfy the downstream urea production ,the CO2 level in the purified gas is less than lOppm!Model of the cryogenic process are built and checked on the basis of the design case of the cryogenic purified process in the second fertilizer plant of Urumchi,the calculation result meet well with that of the design,and show that the models are reliable.The capacity of the rectifier column for CO removal is investigated. Detailed simulation analysis has been carried out on the effects of different technical parameters on CO removal. The radical cause of unsatisfactory effect of the eliminating of CO and the integrated option for final purification are preposed.
