Potential antiallergic activities of aqueous extracts of T sinensis, L. Litsejfolius and P frutescens in Yunnan were investigated by measuring their inhibitory effects on hyaluronidase and on histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells. Antiallergic activities of extracts of T sinensis, L. polystachrch and P frutescens, the active components,dose-effect relationship, and stabilities of antiallergic activities in vitro have also been studied in this paper. The result indicated: The extracts of all T sinensis in Yunnan showed stronger antiallergic activities than the extract of Wulong tea .inhibition of hyaluronidase and inhibition on histamin release from rat mast cells increased with concentration increasing at O.2-2.Omg/mI.Tea extract of different fermentation showed Inhibitory effects were different.inhibitory effect of Extract from black tea was stronger than that of green tea.. Preliminary study showed other phenolic compounds, which can be produced during oxidative processes, might have inhibitied hyaluronidase Yunnan Tiancha (Lithocarps (itsejfolius) extract showed stronger antiallergic activity than extract from Guangxi Tian cha(Rubus s uavissimus),spectral analysis suggested that dihydrocharcone-2?13 D-glucpyranoside and dihydrocharcone-4? 13 -D-glucopyranoside were responsible for the inhibitory activities. The antiallengic activities were increasingly improved with concentration increasing at 10-100 ji g/ml. Among three kinds of extracts ,extract from perilla seed had the most strongly antiallergic activity. It is more than+ times 4s much as that from L.litse folius. Studies on stability of antiallergic compounds indicated: when heated at 120 D .active constituents of extract of perilla seed were stable, but they would decompose at 1 80t .The extract from P.frutescens was stability under pH3.O---7.O. Finally, the safety of three kinds extracts was proved by acate toxicity test...
