The field was developed at 300m well spacing in 1984. Because people hadn't much better recognized to subsurface condition at that time. Development effect of the field was very bad and the oil recovery rate was only between 0.2-0.9%. The field was a low- rate and low-efficiency development state . Precise pool description and reservoir engineering study have been developed in the field, the results show that the control of basic well pattern is low to sedimentary sand set whose width spacing is too big to achieve effective water flood; The basic result of conditioning field development is the interference of reservoir combination and layers, which are the result of long well section development. Adaptability analysis and economicevaluation of flooding well network are made at the base of recognition. The idea is put forward that 300m basic well pattern is added to 212m meters well pattern, and corresponding development regime is established in accordance with water-oil flow of fluids through porous materials regularity, At the same time, the other corresponding measure is executed together as technology assure of modification. The integrated additional modification is made in the Duanliubo field.Development effect of the field is obviously improved after making integral modification in Duanliubo field : Recovery rate is enhanced from 0.8% to 2.01%; Projected ultimate recovery increases from 24.4% to 40%; Commercial Reserves increase 159X104 ton.The item has successfully combined in-situ sedimentary sand set distribution regularity with surface development well pattern to make systemic analysis and effort maximum comes to control in-situ reserve by optimum modification of surface well pattern, there-by, the item achieves flood effectiveness development. Development mode of duanliubo field that forms in the developing as development well pattern optimization development modification of the old field.
