Linalool is an important kind of synthetic perfumes. It is widely used in such fields as the synthetic perfume indusuy, the medicine industiy and the chemical industiy concerned with products for daily use. Linalool is often used as important component in some useful perfumery compounds, and important inteimediate in the process of the synthesis of VA and VE. We can also produce more useful synthetic perfumes from it.Both pinane hydroperoxide and pinanol are essential intermediates in the processof the synthesis of linalool, and they can be utilized in many other chemical reactions solely as chemical material. In this thesis, pinane hydroperoxide and pinanol are obtained from the initial material -?pinane with high cis-pinane content In thesysthetic process, two unit reaction ?oxidation reaction with air in liquid phase and catalytic deoxidation reaction are emphatically concerned. Ideal catalysts are selected, main factors influencing reactions are experimented, and optimum conditions are obtained. The maximum yield of pinane hydroperoxide 3 7.02% is reached under the optimum oxidizing conditions ?temperature 95C, time 9hs, flow of air 4OIJhr and amount of catalyst 5%o. The maximum yield of pinanol 90.02% is reached under theoptimum catalytic deoxidizing conditions ?temperature 35C, pressure 6IvIPa and time 5hs. All of these provide firm foundation for the synthesis of linalool and the utilization of this technology in industry field.
