153Sm-EDTMP, as a bone metastatic cancer palliation therapeutical agent, is widely used for the clinical therapy. Rbs[Sm-EDTMP]-3H2O was synthesized and itsstructure was analyzed with element analysis * UV, IR, NlVQ^ HPLC\ TG-DSC\molar conductance and X-ray diffraction analysis.Radiation decomposition of 153Sm-EDTMP was studied with UV spectrophoto-meter. Effects of the radioactive concentration total radioactivity and EDTMP/Smmole ratio on the radiation decomposition were evaluated. At three days, the radiation decomposition did not affect biologic distribution and product quality.The labelled complexes were analyzed with ion pair HPLC. HPLC analysis conditions were investigated. The effect of the radiation decomposition was studied, the more radio concentration, the more radiation decomposition.The labelled complexes were analyzed with ion exchange HPLC. With the increase of the radioactive concentration, radiation decomposition enhanced. The results showed that, two HPLC means are according with UV spectrophotometer analysis.
