Research On Computer Aided Pattern Manufacturing System Of The Circular Knitting Machine

With the development of computer technology, the technology of CAD and CAM has been widely used in the textile industry. In this field, the research on Computer Aided Pattern Manufacturing System of the Circular Knitting Machine is one of its important applications and is of great theory importance. After analysing the current technology situation, this dissertation does some researches on the key technologies from two aspects : the Pattern CAD system and the knitting control system. Then a Computer Aided Pattern Manufacturing prototype System of the Circular Knitting Machine is developed, hi this dissertation, the following aspects are included :In chapter 1, the current situation of the development and applications in the textile industry are introduced. Based on the analysing of current Pattern CAD system and CAM system, the necessities of this research are also showed.Then the main contents of this research are illustrated.hi chapter 2, to meet the demands of the system, related image processing technologies are discussed. Accordingly, theory bases for the realization of image processing and display functions are established.In chapter 3, some researches on color quantization problem, which is the key problem for the pattern preparation system,are done. After Analysing current color quantization technologies, this dissertation designs an appropriate algorithm according to the demand of the system and makes corresponding programs. The given demonstration shows that the method offered here has good dispose effects.hi chapter 4, the knitting principle and pin choose principle of Circular Knitting Machine are explained. The control demands of the Circular Knitting Machine to the knitting control sub system are analyzed. And then the outline of the knitting control sub system is presented.In chapter 5, the technologies of the data interface and data communication are studied. The data structure of all the modules in the system are analyzed. An appropriate data conversion algorithm to realize the conversion from pattern data to pin choose data are designed. Then current data communication technology are analyzed. And two sets of system hardware are presented. They are also analysed and compared.hi chapter 6, the detailed design and realization on the pattern manufacturing system are made. Based on the research of the system mentioned above, the pattern manufacturing prototype system of Circular Knitting Machine is developed.hi chapter 7, the research contents of this dissertation are summarized, and some expectations on the future development of the pattern manufacturing system are made.
